SATURDAY IS A BIG DAY

This saturday is not only Cinco de Mayo but it is also the day of the Kentucky Derby. It is not only the day of the Kentucky Derby, but it is also the day of Jay's new band's first show. It is not only... OK you see where I'm going with this but I'm too exhausted to continue this way. So - to sum up -

Things happening on May 5th 2007 -

1) Cinco de Mayo
2) Kenturkey Derby
3) Jeff and Allie DJing a Kenturkey Derby party with Maker's Mint Juleps and extensive hat wearing at Royal Oak. (8 - 10:30)
4) Jay's new band's first show ever at Matchless (10:30). They are called Black Tie Party and they are good.
5) Allie is playing a solo acoustic show during the day at Cha Cha's House of Ill Repute. Time TBA.

There are enough hours in the day for you to partake in each and every one of these activities!! BTW - Jeff and I shall be known forever more as DJs Triple Crown and Freakness.

WHAT JUST HAPPENED

Check this out - I was starting to write an email to my friend asking for her address. I decided to put the word "address" as the subject. You with me so far? Okay, good. You know how sometimes your computer will be slow for a second and the letters you are typing don't show up right away? Well, this happened to me between the first and second d in the word address. BUT, when the letter finally showed up I got the following:

Am I dyslexic and a genius enough to type the second half of a word perfectly backwards?? Or, was I part of a complete freak of computer nature? Hhhmmm. Spooky!

SAW SOME AWESOME MUSIC

Last night Jeff and I, accompanied by Chris Genius, went to Union Pool to see psych-country rockers Oakley Hall. They played an amazing show! Their music is tuneful and sweet at times and at other times it's groovy and then it's rocking. All things I love! And, don't pull out a fiddle and a banjo and some weird ass organ thing all at the same time and expect me not to love it!! Am i right?? They always look super cool on stage and last night was no exception. I'd have some pictures to show you if Canon would give me back my effing camera. But, nooo! 5 business days my ass!

Anyhoozers! I highly recommend checking out their latest album Gypsum Strings. Rumor has it that they have a new album on the way, too. Can't wait. You heard it here - before they go on tour with Bright Eyes (tomorrow) and get wicked huge.
